Never in a million years did I think I would be writing a five star review of a corner store. But here we are. Tim's looks shady but it's really a neighborhood joint. The younger bald guy is a sweetheart of a man. He's always chatting people up or practicing martial arts (!) outside. He's the sort of guy who has a ton of patience when you are ....ahem.... impaired....and you are taking forever to count your money. The have a surprising selection of goods. Here are some of the things I have bought there: Soy Sauce Nutmeg lemons and limes 'green' paper products and trash bags Eggs and milk are always fresh! They are even organic and cage free eggs! It's Its (SUPER IMPORTANT!) Ben and Jerrys AND three twins ice cream Bullet bourbon There are a ton of corner stores within a few blocks of our place but there is truly no need to go anywhere else. tldr: The BEST corner store in the area. I can not love on this place enough.

WHAT A GEM! WHAT A GUY! WHAT A SMILE! The young guy that's always there always says hi to me when I'm leaving and coming from work. Just a nice easy going fellow. But man, I'd seriously love a job here. There's always conversation going on right outside the market. The workers are always playing football late nights to pass the time. Their friends hang about and smoke pot and what not. Even though they're loitering, they're being polite and funny. They're all good people.

I was always suspicious of this place because a friend of mine used to live in the neighborhood and said the guy who got protection money out of my friend to "watch out for" his girlfriend and his girlfriend's car frequented the local corner store. Well, I'm an idiot because the corner store in question was the one on Webster, not Fillmore, and Tim's couldn't be less shady. The guy who always seems to be working is very sweet, and when I point out that their soda is expired or ask about something they've run out of, he makes some kind of deal with me. I get a discount or something thrown in. All in all, it's a great place. If I lived in the neighborhood, I'd probably be a regular. It's also nice to have a place to duck in and out of when you're waiting for the 22.

Nice people, good merchandise.. the milk's not post-expiration and they have stuff you don't think a corner store would have, like 9 volt batteries (that are new, again, not close to expiring). And the Middle-Eastern 20-somethin' guy behind the counter is good-lookin' and polite. And doesn't look down like I'm the Medusa when I come down the hill in a ratty sweatshirt with no make-up.

My local store for a while now and pretty good for late night purchasing, with great opening times. The selection is good, with a fair amount of organic nibbles and environmentally friendly household goods, as well as some surprising selections available. It's also got a very useful medicine selection which saved my bacon on more than one occasion when I was too sick to move far. The beer selection is great, and the same goes for the liquor - check out the freezer in front of the counter if you like your vodka ice cold. Staff are friendly, the outside graffiti looks fairly funky and the clientele aren't frightening.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Tim's, primarily for their fearless and esoteric choices of snack foods in an industry that is not known for innovation. They seek out cool snacks like Carr's Ginger Lemon biscuits and about a million different types of chips and other crunchy things. And an amazing selection of Ritter chocolates and *4*, count 'em _4_ brands of grape sody pop. My only gripe is that they have curtailed their nighttime hours. They used to be open until 3am, but now close at 1. Boo hoo to that. In fact, I am just now off on a hike to Safeway for some much needed milk to accompany my homemade Snickerdoodles. Ah well, probably needed the exercise anyways, and who can beat Safeway in the wee hours for entertainment of the human species variety...

Like other reviews, I have no idea where I'd be without these guys. I've come here long enough to establish a pretty self-explanatory nickname, Stella. You can guess what my drink of choice is. The guys always recognize me, we talk politics, weather, sex, beer, whatever. I've done shots with the guys late at night, and often come back for more! I stop by for my 40 oz., cigarettes, stella, or if I'm feeling like a minor, sparks. And any place that makes you feel like home, is totally worth going back to. Even if they support your functioning alcoholism. To make things better, they accept cards. Oh Tim's, how I love thee....

I love Tim's Market. It's kind of ridiculous how much I love it actually. Besides the fact that I pay very little rent, I will never move because of Tim's Market. I have lived in my neighborhood for 3.5 years and have been a faithful customer from the beginning. I live within 1.5 blocks of 4 convenient stores and have to actually walk passed one of them to get there, but it's worth it. These are the reasons I love Tim's: 1. They have recycled toilet paper and paper towels 2. They have organic soup for when I am sick 3. They have Dagoba Lavendar Chocolate (that they started carrying on request) 4. The guys there are super friendly 5. They have organic tortilla chips 6. They have Kettle One in the freezer 7. They are open pretty damn late 8. They have cat litter and when I asked them to start carrying cat litter box liners so I didn't have to go all the way to the pet store- they were like "ok no problem" and now i don't have to go all the way to the pet store. 9. It often smells pretty in there 10. Nice graffiti work on the outside. 11. They always give me change for the bus- even when I don't buy anything. hmmm...why else do i love Tim's? I feel like there has to be more. Maybe it's the sum of the parts thing - you know how it goes. It's the entire package really- that can't be broken into tiny little pieces. Thanks Tim's for always being there for me- you guys are the best.

I love the fellas at Tims for the following reasons -they are really friendly -when they ask me if I've still quit smoking and I reply with a yes, they always congratulate me -when they ask me if I've still quit smoking and I reply with a no, they always congratulate me -I can stumble in the store drunk w/out my wallet and they'll spot me until the morning great neighborhood corner store. I'd give em 5 stars but it's a corner store...they serve pints of whiskey not lobster tail.

This used to be my corner store when I lived in the neighborhood and while I didn't come here as often (solely due to the fact that it was ACROSS the street and I am LAZY) Tim was known to keep his market stocked with whatever cooking staple you might have run out of or munchies you wanted to eat. My stoner ass would come here if the other corner market (In & Out) on the OTHER corner (concept, I know) didn't have Sour Patch Kids, It's It and/or Skor bars. Good times, good times. My only complaint is the weirdly painted/designed sign out front which everyone has a difficult time reading. "VITAMINS?" No, it says "TIM'S."
